Who We Are
Essential Elements Outdoor Play Club is a play advocacy based organisation. Our mission is to provide primary school aged children in particular, with more opportunities to engage in child-directed, outdoor, adventurous play to enhance their wellbeing and support development of life skills.
Our Programs
We offer half-day and full-day drop off play sessions and 3-hour stay and play sessions.
Drop off sessions include mindfulness practice to support development of self-awareness and self-regulation, active group games to foster a sense of connection and belonging, nature-inspired arts and crafts or construction projects to encourage persistence, resilience and ability to manage risk as well as an appreciation of the natural world, and of course, plenty of time for child-directed play to nurture imagination, problem-solving and social-emotional development.
Stay and play sessions are all about getting those creative juices flowing and collaboration to make imaginations come to life through loose parts play!
We operate in almost all weather, adopting the traditional Norwegian saying “there is no bad weather, only inappropriate clothing”! This allows children to experience all the joys nature has to offer, from bright sunny days to jumping in rain filled puddles.
